How bad is it in meta?
For all the shit facebook’s doing or is it all around their leadership? Why arent heads rolling at fb? https://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/us_5bed3811e4b0dbb7ea676529
Not everything in the news is true. Publishers have lost a lot of traffic to FB, and hence, they have a vendetta. And, I’m not saying this because I work at FB. I’ve read a lot of reporting from them on other issues, and they either extrapolate/generalize or add hyperbole to things. Not exactly fake news, but testing the boundaries of truth.
So...fake news?
I’ll share one instance. They make it sound like we were encouraged to use Android to get back at Apple. Not true. We were asked to switch when it became evident most of our growth is coming from Android ( and it had more bugs because employees weren’t dog fooding). This was way before Tim Cook said anything. The problem is these guys are reporting opinions as facts. The reporting is colored by people’s interpretation of events, which can differ based on how much they were privy to and whether they had a good or bad experience at the company. Also, not sure how much is first person account and how much of it is hearsay.
