remember seeing a post in blind regarding how a new grad swe in google can retire in 15 years. can some one share the link if it is still available?
Idk what post you saw, but if you max out 401k contributions and put an additional 40k post-tax into index funds, assuming 8% year on year growth you'd have 1.5mil saved after 15 years which is enough to retire in an affordable town.
Although my number is 2.5mil since I want to retire but still have money to travel and live in NYC
