LinkedIn friends, what did your Microsoft retention bonuses look like after the acquisition closed?
How long after were the bonuses given? How much were you given? What was your role/level?

Half of base salary paid out 1 yr after close. GPM

Welcome to Microsoft OP! I don't come from linkedin but from another acquisition, Maluuba Inc. Those of us who had unvested RSUs got the equivalent dollar amount in Microsoft RSUs preserving the vesting schedule. There was also on-hire bonus if about 75% of base salary with vesting schedule spread in equal amounts over the next 4 years. I hope this gives you some perspective.

MSFT stock price has more than doubled since acquisition. Been the only retention bonus for me.
