I guess they want to see how well organized you can be based on that. Most of sees time is spent thinking or navigating tons of files or lines.

For a fresh grad I suppose it isn’t an absolutely terrible question, though I’d never ask it. If you’ve had a few YoE it’s absolutely silly though.
