Is there any advice you would like to give to a new grad PM who has just completed his/her CS undergrad?
Read, Practice. Make a list with some companies you like and start doing some interviews. Don’t worry about rejection, just learn from each one and use it for the next. Don’t be afraid to fail. This is a marathon not a sprint

Think of building good product than getting promoted. I see this to be a major challenge for most people. The mindset always is do xyz to get promoted to next level. And then repeat. Build fucking amazing product that you’d love to use everyday and be proud of. Everything else will fall into place.
Don't go into PM right out of college. Do the work first, gain some credibility and experience, then work your way up. It will pay off.
Did you directly start out as a PM?
No, but I worked as a pm for the last decade and seen the outcomes of both paths (and hired a bunch).
