I've been remote in leadership roles for nearly ten years ranging from startup to F100 companies (two based in SF/SV). Are there any great companies embracing remote teams for marketing? I've seen a few move in-house, but couldn't go back to a butt-in-seat culture.

My experience has been that if you ask for remote, most companies don't have an issue with it -- depending on how much people management you're doing.
Automattic is fully distributed and is growing has been growing the marketing team pretty significantly this year. https://automattic.com/work-with-us/
InvisionApp is a 100% remote company, and they have great marketing, so in a way they're embracing a remote team for marketing
I'm a fan. Clark is a good dude.
