tuition reimbursement
Hello, so I have been at barclays for a year and one of the perks i was sold on during being recruited was tuition reimbursement .. fast forward to bejng on the job and i put the request in i was denied told my group doesnt budget for that... had a talk with my manager director and hr they said nothing could be done and that i should have got this in writing about tutiton reimbursement in my offer .( i for one didnt think i needed to do that because many companys offer tuition reimbursement).. months later i find out a girl in my group tuition reimbursement was approved (someone thats in my exact same mba program and i have been working at the company longer with request submitted before her).. i confronted my manager and he told me it was news to him two weeks later he blames another vp and says “it was a mistake we messed up” but nothing could be done .. i felt he was being shady so i went to contact hr and told them i felt i was being treated unfairly maybe because of color or gender. they told me they will investigate this and get back to me . do i have grounds to seek legal action . What do you think they are doing thats its been two weeks no contact from them ?
Tl dr
Same thing director doesn’t care says he’s spoken to multiple ppl and searched history of the program lied and said no one has received it in five years then found out coworker in my group is receiving it

Office is nice because it’s new has neat things like game room Pac-Man Mario pool tables ping pong nice cafe but if you actually work you don’t have time for that

You should look over the contract you signed. If it's in there, you have a case. Otherwise, wait for HR. Give them time to do their job.
High time to interview and GTFO without notice
Most probably after that girl’s tuition was approved your HR was hard on your management and now they don’t want to mess up with HR. If you want to stay with Barclays talk to your manager and ask how you can make sure that they budget your tuition in 2020. And then follow up couple times, but don’t harass them.

80-90 65 base rest is overtime I’m an analyst and yes Barclays NYC but my group has moved to the Whippany nj campus
