what FANG company matches current salary

I am going to be interviewing with google. I am worried that they will low ball me with no competing offers. I honestly dont mind if they match my current TC. Are there any other fang companies that will just match or beat current company tc, without having to have competing offers?

Google will definitely lowball without a competing offer, and will ignore current TC.

If they ignore current TC , do people join google at lower than current salary ?

That’s a bummer. Guess I’ll have to get competing offers.

LinkedIn will give a fair offer but can give more with a competing

Everybody except Google will consider your current salary if they can infer it or you offer that information, though nobody in California can proactively ask for that info any more. Google will ignore you entirely even if you tell them and try to lowball you in bottom half of band for role and level unless you have competing offers. You have to go in with competing offers to G, and it is a beat practice in general to always go for competing offers.

This is specific to Google, they will match companies that their algorithm tells them to. If they haven't lost many candidates to Salesforce because of tc, then there is no data for them to suggest that you will reject their.offer for some other company. Once you do, and a few other folks do to go to the same place, then they have datapoints to show what is a.comfortable.offer for them to compete against Salesforce. Google compensation is very data driven.
