* 4/10, 9/80 or standard 8-5 work week options. * Can often choose start time for the day. * Incredible flex to accommodate work/life balance. * Lots of holidays including non-standard. * Best retirement match and additional retirement fund * Depending on location, may offer some work from home options. * Current technology in IT
* Mgt and HR keep things incredibly close to the chest when sometimes it’s not necessary. * HR is S-L-O-W in making decisions. * Very hierarchal top-down management philosophy (often hard or discouraged to engage directors, VPs or some levels of upper mgt without approval, which all seems unnecessary and projects a sense of arrogance). * Found from time to time that HR would lie when they didn’t know the answer. This might be industry standard, but it’s obvious when they do it. * Chemical and Oil divisions almost act like different companies with different philosophies. It’s getting better but it’s frustrating. * Caters HEAVILY to engineers. * Often overlooks roles that are designated as salary non-exempt when some should be exempt. Lots of secondary side effects as a result, including poor work environment.
