had our first a few days ago… (bless my family pressure from India) Wanting to just lie down and cry does not even begin to describe… JESUS why would anyone have kids, haven’t had more than 2 hours sleep for last 4 days Wife had a csection which will heal in 6 weeks… (currently in crazy pain even with oxy) Our lives as we know it are over… To anyone even remotely thinking of having a kid, THINK ABOUT IT A LOT… like a LOT… and my suggestion would be dont do it And don’t listen to any of your family, especially if your are India… Already booked my appointment to get my 🍆 snipped… Update: many of you think if Ill ignore my kid or treat him poorly; NO WAY, he gets the best food, treatment and best insurance I could get… I AM JUST EXHAUSTED… this too shall pass Yoe: 5 Tc: 200k
This is very weak and cringe tbh
Speaking from your long experience of ... a few days... now that is relevant data
The first few months are the hardest. Your life is completely turned around. I get what the OP is feeling.
First few months are the hardest until your kid turns 3 then you wish you could go back to those easy breezy days. The one hard thing op mentioned is the c section his wife had to go through. Sounds like his life is easy compared to hers.
give it some time, it should become much better. I have friends who cant wait to go home and spend some time with their newborns
LOL. It sounds like I went back in time 4 years and wrote this post.
I feel bad for the kid since they will not get the love of a father.
Give the guy a break. The sleep deprivation the first few weeks is crushing.
Shut the fu** up @Microsoft
Stop being dramatic. First few months are like this. Having kids is a no brainer. They bring you so much joy.
If thats what your parents thought, you wouldnt be able to write this post. Lol Stop whining and start loving the journey. Of course its hard raising a life but it can be a beautiful journey. It only gets better
Everyone goes through this. Hold on buddy it gets better.
This. People don’t talk about it because they are afraid of the judgement. If your newborn is not an easy infant and most are not, you will hate your life for the first 3-4 months. It gets better and so much better. Now they are just needy and give nothing back. It always comforted me to go to Reddit and read other parents complain about parenting and then also realizing that it’s only temporary. Hang in there!!
