+ Free food. Can be nasty occasionally but pretty good most of the time. + Good work-life balance in most teams. The closer to front office, the worse it's gonna get, but overall wlb is pretty good for SWE.
- Technologies used here are outdated hence the people you work with are either old or have outdated mindsets. - Managers don't know what they're talking about most of the time. They just happen to be here long enough to be promoted. The teams I worked with only want things done, as long as your code is running, they don't care. My boss literally has no idea what design patterns are. - Visually no career growth here, you have to commit 10+ years to even dream of a tech lead position.
