@Intel Marketing Engineer Job offer in Portland, Oregon area Help Evaluate Please!!
It seems like they are sending me a lowball offer. SMG grade 7 Marketing Engineer title 105,000 base 6300 APB target 10K signing bonus No stock. Is this typical? Please give me your opinion and back it up with numbers / ranges you have actually seen. Please do not troll. I only have 3 days to negotiate, as this is an exploding offer. Hillsboro Oregon area.
They only gave me 3 days to reply. How bad is it if I accept the offer to give some other inteviewers a little more time and then accept an offer outside of Intel? Would I be burning bridges?
If you have other offers that are higher, then go for those. Raises at Intel aren’t that good, especially after your first year.

120 Base Likelyhood for RSUs is low
105 for SMG does not seem bad for G7. The 120s are typically for PhD for Process TD.
They say 10k...but you get only 6500 in hand for joining bonus. Ask 15k+ so that post tax you will get 10k+
Its not bad for an SMG marketing role. These aren't technical / product roles so they aren't paid as well as some others.
It is an engineer title role, which is why I am surprised it is so low...
Hmmm... there aren't many marketing engineer roles in SMG. Do you have the job posting link?
Maybe it's changed in the last two years, but SMG is a real dumpster fire when I used to work with them.
No RSUs is baffling
Am worried... am Gr7 making 130k base and TC is 153k. Yoe : 9 Am I being paid too much ? Indian here on H1B have 7yoe experience in India...was hired as Gr7 @ 125k base and TC 140K
I am worried...if Oregon Gr7 is paid 105-118k base... then probably if I move to Oregon... I am already being paid a lot... and might be on the short list to layoff ?? I have plans to.move to Oregon..after hiring freeze.. PSG sucks. OR.. am i thinking too much ?
