Cruise used to get STELLAR reviews on Glassdoor even a year ago but since then their Glassdoor reviews have fallen dramatically. The most recent reviews has been really bad. Any idea what's going on internally? Is it because of shift in leadership?
They will have to pay Glassdoor to bring the rating up.
Glassdoor rating is a joke.
Iād trust bad Glassdoor reviews more than anything else.
+1. Bad reviews are much more trustworthy than positive reviews.
You only have to look at the few negative reviews posted in the last month to see that some think that the company is a sinking ship that's no where near achieving it's goals. I'd be very wary of joining if what this person says is true.
Lol none of that is true. The PSU -> RSU transition was entirely opt-in, you could choose a percentage of conversion including 0%. Remote working just requires manager permission, no forms. 1201 is not in the middle of nowhere with no public transitā the 47 goes directly there and 49 stops two blocks away. There are too many goals if anything. And tons of people have been promoted the past quarter just in my org. This whole post is butthurt BS.
The first lot was not opt in. They said we wonāt evaluate the PSU milestones post Apollo if you decide to stay on the old plan. The second lot was opt in like you said. Remote working does have a form that needs to be approved by management. 1201 is away from Bart and Caltrain, you need to take a connecting bus. Found the Cruise shill š
Interviewed there and couldn't believe how disorganized the process was. Ultimately decided not to join because of what I saw during the on-site.
I think you're supposed to post that on Glassdoor
Ha look at all the 5-star reviews from last Monday...
The marketing team went in and added them. What a joke
Cruising for a bruising if they don't get ahead of every single other competitor in this new market
The leading companies already seem to have separated themselves from the pack. It's Waymo, Cruise, Tesla, Nuro, Aurora, Zoox and ArgoAI. These are the companies that will dominate in North America. And then Baidu, Pony.ai, WeRide.ai and TuSimple for China. Uber and Lyft will still remain as a network for other SDCs. The rest like Phantom AI, AutoX, Drive.ai, Roadstar.ai, Voyage, Nauto, Starsky Robotics, Torc Robotics, Comma.ai etc. will slowly die out or dissolve. nuTonomy for example got dissolved into Aptiv and Delphi.
Lol at tesla and everyone who follows. Really itās waymo cruise and maaaybe aurora/zoox. The rest are done
The truth is hiring has been an uphill battle. Weāre slowing down our recruiting effort because ICs spent 20% of their time conducting interviews and filling out greenhouse feedback. One of our core values is āstay focusedā but I have never worked for a company with so much distraction from all kinds of meetings. It fucking sucks. Our offer acceptance rate has improved a lot but a few months ago, it was under 5%. Our team fell short of our headcount goal by over 50%. People are feeling the growing pains. And everyone is speaking up. Previous all hands, someone brought up our low GD rating and everyone was encouraged to leave their reviews. GD most likely ignores reviews coming from same IP addresses.
Holy crap. It is that bad then š

I have heard that some people are not happy with the new compensation structure
What's the new structure?
Cruise package is competitive to fang companies. But itās not clear if they ever go public. My break down is 60base/20bonus/20rsus
