[Interview preparation]: Amazon Go - Applied Scientist

Hi folks, I have an interview scheduled with the Amazon Go team in Boston and was wondering if you’ll can give me any tips about how to prepare for the interview and what the phone screen generally covers?

Depends on specialization but deep dive resume, ML/stats , maybe coding, maybe leadership principles. Varies a lot by interviewer's background but onsite is more consistent.

This is a sample scenario for the phone screen.

Expect two rounds of ML/CV. Since its GO, i think you can expect some 3D/tracking/detection/segmentation/action recognition questions. Two rounds of coding, one with bar raiser. Many LP questions. Be sure to be familiar with Amazon LPs and prepare good examples beforehand.

This is good and for the onsite to be clear.

Thank you. This is useful.

Two phone screens, one on "CV coding" and one on CV/ML, but likely mostly CV. Onsite would have the standard SDE coding round, as well as more CV depth/breadth stuff. Leadership principals same type of stuff as other positions

Thank you! In phone screen, what do CV rounds generally cover? Can you please give me any examples? Also, any preparation tips?

What language or package is CV coding usually in? Guessing CV meaning computer vision. DS here and curious to know

You can use what you want but most people do python. You won't need to use specific deep learning frameworks
