Current in amazon retail as a L5 non tech PM AWS L5 Base: 118k RSU: 10 units / year ( ~45k) ad hoc off-cycle : 11 ( think of it as a random sign on) Google L4 Base: 131k RSU: 124K over 4 years (33,33,22,11%) Comparing YoY AWS Y1:213k Y2- Y4: 163k Google Y1:189k Y2:189k Y3:176k Y4:163k All in SGD Current TC: 145k SGD YOE:5 Singapore has very low tax and no capital gains tax. Edit1: I see overwhelming support for Google. AWS: good solid manager, good reviews, good team Google: Looks like my HM will be based in India, and it will supporting a ops team in India Leaning strongly towards AWS in job scope and manager #tech #aws #amazon #google #tc #singapore
Is that a Product Manager role’s TC for Google Singapore?
no, its a strategy role
I would pick PM AWS over Google since "strategy" is just a non tech L4 role mehh
Just speaking from my experience at AWS in the US, I'd say go to Google. AWS is the type of company that will sell you what you want, not what you need. If this were back in late 1800s, Amazon would be the company that sells you things like this: "You said your horse carriage was slow, so we made a harness that can strap more horses!" Then next year, "our customers said running the horses for long distances made them thirsty, so we made strap-on water bottles for the horses." Then again, "we put a mechanism in place to hot-swap your horses on the go at various busy intersections around the country." They would never invent the car or the train. That's just my impression from working here.
Google has yearly refresher and g ood amount of bonus but I heard there is no refresher at Amazon.
YoE? Apart from that Google >> AWS
