This is for those who are curious about google offer, timeline, expectation before the first date. Here is a list of what I’ve done/had for the past weeks: - [New] Received a laptop by mail (4/19 BEFORE onboarding) - Received another email to set up a Google email account (4/17) - Received an email to set up an appointment with the I-9 team (4/16) - Finished the HireRight backgrund check (It took about 2 weeks to complete) (4/10) - Received an email from the team manager - greatly appreciated (4/9) - Got a series of emails from the onboarding site re: the process status (4/1-9) - Completed the first section in I-9 (4/5) - Shared preferred username and computer options (4/2) - Answered compliace questions (3/25) - Signed the offer letter (3/20) I hope its useful for anyone who recently accepted an offer from Google and planned to join next month or so. [UPDATE] Another person who got an offer from Google that croas-valodated my initial post: - did virtual (f2f) interviews on (3/25) - Made it through HC (4/2) - Signed offer letter 10 April - Started/Completed HireRight packet (4/14) - got an email for preferred computer (4/14) Target start date is 4/27 @Google #offer #career #tech
Thank you. I'm done my loop and waiting on exec review, so this helps clarify my timeline.
Awesome! Please let me know if you have any question :)
Thank you! How long from the time the hiring committee said yes until you had an offer in hand?
It seems the compliance questions ensure that you have the correct work authorization
Yes, these are legal requirements
For the i-9 section, what info did you put in? Are you joining on receipt?
What’s receipt? If its related to H1B, I’m not on H1B.
Nvm, i see you’re not on h1b
Congratulations!! If you may please - which location and what kinda role (sales, PM, strategy etc.) Thank you
Congrats! Would love to know the role and location as well
+1. Interested in what non tech roles are getting a $350 TC. Can you share your base as well?
Thanks for sharing google. I signed a FB offer last week and sent my HM an email to which she had not responsed. I was anxious and looking at your timelines, felt better to know that your manager reached out 3 weeks after
Congrats on your FB offer. Its wild time that causes delay in every aspect. You should be totally fine. Have a great weekend!
Thank you. Take care!
Great TC for non tech. What position and title?
Where did he list his TC?
I believe he initially had it as $350k? Don’t see it now
Congrats! How do you complete I-9? Didn't see related part on onboarding website...
I received the email from the onboarding separately that had a link to access to the I-9 site where I uploaded a copy of my files
Congrats. What is the starting date? Looks like it may take a 20-30 days between signing the offer and starting
I think its flexible to choose your first date; my case is about 4 weeks between signing and starting.
Was the onboarding virtual or slipped altogether?

Asians - what are your thoughts on asian female white male ?
Congratulations on the offer! Couple of questions - 1) how much time did it take for the recruiter to get back with verbal and then written offer after hiring committee approval?; 2) are you on H1B?
Thanks! 1) It was a little more than 2 weeks for team matching and comp negotiations 2) No, I’m not on H1B
Congrats again! Did you go through team matching before or after your final on-site interview?
