🔥 Rant about Manager 🔥
Keeps changing acceptance criteria and blaming me for delays. Threatens me constantly by saying he will say bad things about me to my skip. Actually goes and talks sh*t about me to my skip when I’m not around. Asks for feedback and then refutes the feedback. Gives me impossible constraints on deliverables (mutually exclusive conditions), ignores me when I bring up an objection saying “You should be able to figure it out on your own” Once he realizes the constraints are impossible, blames me for not bringing it up earlier and ask questions (except I did). When I do ask questions the response is “this question is not a good use of my time”. Tracks how long I’m in office and suggests I’m not working enough hours (I worked 60 last week). Tells me my work is trivial and should be done by now. Oh well, I got an offer and am leaving. S*ck my d*ck *sshole! Got nice TC bump. This sounds exactly like someone I used to work with. Leaving was the single best decision I made in that job. Now I actually have positive things to look forward in life (rather than 70 hours/week of helplessness and abuse). Good for you having the determination and self-respect, to pack bags and move on. Lucky you. Main reason for many to leave is because of managers.
Which team exactly? I have an offer from MSFT for what is most likely Azure.

I suffered under a lady like that. Glad that she moved to a different team. I was not myself when I was under her. She did me much damage
I coulda sworn you’ve posted this exact rant word for word a couple weeks ago. Anything changed since then?
Yes I got internal transfer offer. Multiple actually. Manager got upset and delayed my *agreed upon* move date arbitrarily, and talked sh*t to my skip so my skip was on board with delaying the move. Sucks because I actually like my skip. But now my skip has a warped idea of me. Oh well, I guess my skip isn’t as smart or cool as I thought if he’s so willing to turn on a dime like that. Skip didnt even ask for my feedback or why I’m leaving. All I got was “don’t tell anyone else or it’ll ruin morale” uh ok dude.

I had offer from Azure Data. I loved the work there but the Mgr was very intimidating during team match conversation. Also, listening to the team's headcount, growth roadmap and expections, it all hinted at bad WLB at less TC. The only reason I wanted to go to MSFT was the WLB and easy life.
