Building a new calendar/Gantt chart type tool to improve viewing and tracking long term events, past and future. Hypothesis is that current digital calendars are great for organizing our week but ineffective at larger time frames like when visualizing a month, a year, or multiple years. Still trying to identify who the target user would be other than myself. Currently Iβve been using it to track my career progression, for example how long I stayed at a company, when I got a promo, etc. But it can also be used to track other life events, like moving to a new city or country. Or as a project management tool. Does this sound interesting to you? If so, would love to get your feedback, and build the tool around your needs and feedback! Ps. I have a code prototype ready for you to try. I can send you the link via DM for feedback π β hereβs a preview: https://jmp.sh/kmjVORs #quantifiedSelf
Whoever said they were interested, can I DM you and share the prototype with you for feedback? π€

One last bump to wring this thread out and see if anyone else has any thoughts
Look up officetimeline.com
Interesting! Thanks for sharing that π I think the main difference with the tool Iβm building is Iβd like mine to be responsive and interactive, so for example you can zoom in and get a 6 month view of where you are and then zoom out and get a 10 year view too β allowing you to take a granular or high-level approach at exploring your life/career events β hopefully that makes sense!
Sounds a bit like how prezzy works? They realtor use the zoom in zoom out features
