Hi, Anyone here working at Citizens Bank ? How much would the base pay and TC be for a "Data scientist - Sr Manager" role and how's it different from a "Senior data scientist" role? Also, how's the work culture, benefits, etc. like. Any guidance is highly appreciated.
The titles are pretty jacked up there. A senior data scientist/ data scientist - sr manage both come under the category of VP. Average pay for VP is within the range of 125k -165k. Work culture isnāt bad, just the quality of work can be quite redundant based on which team you are working for since they barely have internal models and most people hired for this role is for vendor model validation. Benefits as like any other FI - 24 days of holidays, rebates for tickets, etc., but the healthcare sucks big time.
Thank you for the reply. I have a few questions. Is this average pay (125-165) like TC or base pay? If it's TC, then what's the breakdown like? Can you tell me briefly about the vendor model validation work, as I don't have banking background. Also, why is healthcare so bad, is it high premiums or something else?
125-165 would be the base pay and then a yearly bonus can between 3-6%. There is an equity plan if register where you can buy stocks but you donāt get any RSUs from Citizens. Vendor validation is generally verifying performance for model upgrades from vendors like Visa, Mastercard, identity model, etc. Generally, FI who use vendor models do not have a control on upgrades. They just gauge the financial impact between the versions. Yes, the premium is quite high. I have worked at multiple places but have never seen a premium so high. Keep in mind, I am an extremely healthy person with no previous record of health issues
