Ruby Bridges
I saw the video of Ruby Nell Bridges being escorted to school. Shocked to see a 6 year old being escorted by the police while GROWN men spit on her and shout abuses. Women see this frail child, and carry out a black faced doll in a coffin. Ruby lives in New Orleans now. This has given me a deeper understanding of Trump’s clan than anything before. What they want to say, how they want to act... has been criminalized. So now they dogwhistle. If it was up to me, their confederate generals who led them to believe this is justified, would have their statues hanged where they today stand. #BLM #uspolitics
It’s getting filmed and reported but it was always like this.
That story broke my heart too. Imagine that being just some decades ago. Those harassing the girl and other schoolchildren were cave savages.
They thought their system was fair... separate but “equal.” They might as well have said “all schools matter” rather than “segregation forever.”
