Why Modi not asking for votes based on work?
I got an offer this week from THD and the breakdown is as follows: Position: Dev II YoE: 5 Base:105k Profit Sharing: 3-8% x 2 Individual Performance Bonus: 8% Stock @2 years. How likely is it that I will get the individual bonus? Should I ask for more salary?
Whats last TC?
Wtf, base 105k for 5 YOE is like below the poverty line
🤣 Automatic no for you huh? I'll be honest I'm not enthused about it either.
I heard they put up cringy flyers in the breakroom
No
Location?
I would be remote in the Midwest. Mid/Low Cost of living.
Will you be getting employee discount?
Home Depot doesn't give employee discount :/
No deal then.
I'm SE1 with 1 YOE and got 100k base. I get success/profit sharing, but no stocks yet. Also, in your post, you said profit sharing is 3-8% x 2, but it's not x2. You do get it twice a year, but you get 3-8% of your last 6 month salary. So it's 3-8% per year
Yes u won’t get more than 3% in general
This is huge information. It seems like the recruiter was either lying or just didn't know what they were doing. I'm going to decline the offer.
Ask for more base, other benefits are merit based, commitment of 8% bonuss sounds like bs
That performance bonus is probably just the annual stock grant, which vests 50% at 2 years. I’ve not heard of any other performance bonuses for dev 2
Seems like the recruiter was blowing smoke. I think the offer falls outside of my acceptable range now.
I have never heard of anyone getting an individual performance bonus of 8%. Your annual raise is based on your performance and even with "exceeds expectations", I've never gotten more than 3% raise
Wow, thank you. I was thinking that I would get somewhere around 25% of my salary in bonuses after salary, for a total of around 130k. I'll have to decline the offer.
Good for you and good luck out there! You will land something far better.
Wow
