Following “software” positions are open in Samsung Semiconductor India Research (SSIR), Bangalore office for people with “3+ YOE”: 1. Firmware and driver - SLSI team 2. Solution QA - Memory team 3. Embedded firmware storage - Memory team 4. Embedded firmware & driver - Foundry team 5. Data Science & Analytics - SESG team Let me know if you need a referral. SSIR benefits: 1. Has higher pay band than SRIB and SRIN (other two Samsung offices) : expect 1.5x more pay than them 2. great WLB (I work upto 3 hours per working day): expect upto 6 hrs per working day and that’s it, you are top performer of your team! 3. WFH till Aug end. Hybrid from September (3 days office) 4. Free food. If allocated free food money left, then it gets credited to salary in March. 5. Free wifi money (no reimbursement required. Everyone is given 1.5k per month extra in payslip) 6. Free schooling of infants (upto 15k reimbursements of infants preschool or schooling) 7. 6/9 months maternity leaves 8. Recession proof. Will never lay you off. Have seen tons of coasters who haven’t been laid off. 9. Free S.Korea trips (if your work is relevant to Korean teams) Etc…. (List is very big) If you are married or about to get married and planning to settle down in corporate rat race, then SSIR might be the right place for you. Two things prevalent at SSIR, which I like the most: a. Bottom-up work culture: most of your work will be decided by you and you will report your higher ups that you will be doing this task for these many days b. No Korean or US offices bootlicking: have heard other Samsung offices work below to S.Koreans and US. Even US companies’ Indian offices get inferior work. But at SSIR, it’s always equal. For eg., meetings are held at Indian times (generally between 10am-6pm). So US teams attend at midnight for Indians. This is because revenue generated from SSIR is more than 10B USD! So SSIR is a very crucial non-Korea R&D center. #tech #Samsung #semiconductor #referral #Bangalore #Bengaluru #recession #wlb #stable #ssir #korea #india
Interested but I haven’t worked on firmwares or data science or any of the things you added. I am a regular software engineer with experience in frontend backend and mobile. Not sure if I am eligible to apply. I have worked at SRIB before.
Oh. Sorry, currently no such relevant position for you. At SSIR, your skills are like most sought after. So those roles barely get vacant 😂 BTW, why did you leave SRIB?
Ok. I left for another Samsung-level company (prefer to be anonymous but ok to share company name on DM) because I got the itch to try something new after staying at SRIB for few years.
