Hello J&J family, I'm about to interview with J&J recruiter for a senior manager position in R&D business unit. I wanted to check what the base salary and total compensation range I could ask for. Also what amount of RSU they provide as joining and yearly performance bonus and yearly cash bonus. Current position : senior manager #health #healthcare #pharmaceutical
Following.
Following. What's your location and YOE, op?
Seems like a lot of RSUs. Is that due to appreciation or is that number based on the initial grant?
You can expect a base salary around $180k with 20% bonus and 20% LTI (vests in 3 years cliff). There are performance multipliers for bonus and LTI and is not guaranteed at M2 level (though 75% of M2 folks are eligible)
This, although likelihood and exact numbers will vary by location and sector.
My friend got a M1 offer 180k +15% bonus, no RSU. Is that good for M1? Although, I think he should get M2 at least
Yea this is accurate
Look elsewhere - Intuitive offers better comp packages and has RSUs. LTIs are not guaranteed as folks above have pointed out. Also you’ll be frustrated with the pace of innovation (or lack there of)
For the original poster it sounds like you are interviewing in the Pharma sector. The above comment reads as though it’s from the Med tech sector. Innovation is better in Pharma than med tech within J&J, IMHO.
How does the interview process look like for Sr Manager role at JnJ?
Well I never cleared HR round with J&J since they were asking me to come to the office atleast 2-3 times every werk though the job posting said it was remote. Their office is 30-40 mins drive from Philly center city but since I don't own a vehicle I would have to use public transportation like SEPTA trains + uber that would consume 45 mins - 1 hour one way for each day. Thus I stopped applying to J&J since the hybrid or in office is required
I’m jealous! I have had nothing but rejected applications from J&J! Best of luck to you!
