If you get migraines, do you get any "speech" aura before the headache starts ? If yes, what was the experience ? How long did it last ? #misc #health
Yes but not speech aura. Visual aura instead. I have chronic ocular migraines that are triggered by various things, such as not enough water intake. When the migraine starts, I get a visual aura that covers my entire vision so I can’t really see with both eyes. When I get them, I am extremely sensitive to light, loud noises, etc and need to be shrouded in complete darkness to be able to function well. Aura lasts for 1 hour, then migraine pain occurs for 1-2 days. Pain starts off pretty bad for first few hours, then gradually subsides over time.
Whoa same here
yes I get a speech aura, I have trouble with nouns. sometimes if it's bad I'm not able to get sentences together at all
I had my first experience yesterday. I had trouble putting sentences together and also I had issues with big words. I had to break it down into pieces and pronounce it slowly. It started worse and gradually got better. And then the one sided headache started Does it sound like something that happens in speech aura ?

TL;DR: daith piercings work great for migraines! Hey! I endured migraines for more than half of my life, starting around the age of 7. I used to experience around 3 migraines per week, which were extremely debilitating and caused me to become quite reclusive, resulting in few friendships. Years later, I started going to see a chiropractor, massage and acupuncture, I hade later moved, and I discovered from this new acupuncturist that specific trigger points in the ears could be permanently alleviated by getting daith piercings, something my previous acupuncturist had never mentioned. The day after my acupuncture session, I visited a Silver store in the mall and had both daith piercings done. The sensation was intense, akin to someone applying Vicks vapor rub directly to my brain, and I nearly passed out, but the relief was simultaneous and remarkable. Now, five years later, I only experience migraines maybe two or three times a year, mostly when I forget to take my vitamin D supplements or neglect to use my computer glasses. I strongly recommend considering daith piercings, but it's crucial to ensure they are done precisely at the trigger point for optimal effectiveness. I hope my experience proves helpful to others!
