I have been applying to them for the last 3 years and those guys don’t budge. Do you have to already work at FAANG to get an interview their? I have gotten phone screens from big Hedge Funds like HRT and have gone to onsite interviews with companies like Google, Amazon, and Twitch but Netflix just seems like their hiring standard is very high and even having the chance to sell yourself seems so far out of reach. Anyone who has interviewed with them could you guys provide a perspective on what made you stick out?
Recruiters from Netflix regularly ping me. I don't apply there
Recruiter names or GTFO
It's a different recruiter every time. You can look them up on LinkedIn
Same applied prob 6 times over the last two year. Not even an initial call
Same boat. Waiting for recruiter to respond. Even got referrals!
It’s about the skill set and not the company you are working in. If you fit in their search criteria (in my case they were looking for someone with Kubernetes experience) they will reach out.
Wondering the same lol. I’ve probably put in 10 apps there in the past year
Well damn, I’m glad I’m not the only one I guess 😂
Usually the hiring managers reach out first to chat
I just applied through the site and a recruiter randomly reached out to me like 1 day later ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My mom called and yelled at them. First phone screen next week.
You think she could refer me?
I’ll see what I can do.
Don't think I work with one ivy leaguer. They just look for very specific requirements for each role , not generalists. The opposite of Google.
Will keep that in mind for my future applications!
Thanks
They won’t interview me either 🙂
Damn I guess it’s only the Ivy Leaugers that get it then😂
