I have an educational background in software development. After my bachelor's in engineering CS, I worked as a UX Designer for 2 years. Loved the work and I was good at it as well. I did miss the coding though. I did some research/asked around and figured UXD gets less job opportunities and $$ as compared to SDE, so I did a Master's in CS. Although my logic and problem solving abilities are good, I'm not as gifted as backend dev as UXD. Having said that working at Paychex for 2 years for 🥜, I've had my fair share of difficulties. Work is hardly inspiring. Old code (Pro*C), lack of requirements or direction in general among many others. I can't figure out if I hate being a backend engg or it's just the work at Paychex. Now that I'm preparing to switch I wonder if I should go back to being a UXD (not sure if that's even a viable option at this point) or try a different company which has a good work for a backend engg to get better idea. I worry if I take a backend engg position now, that'd mean closing the door on being a UXD in the future. #engineering #software #uxdesigner

What crime did trump commit?
Why don’t you do fronted if you like ui/ux stuff?
Or even mobile app development
I am a bit confused about front end as well. But I like the designing part of UX not as much the implementation of the design part. From talking to a few front end designers about their work, it's not something I might love doing. Same goes for full stack I suppose.
