People with private chefs

you fuckers are so lucky! So much thought, energy and time goes into making nutritious and tasty meals! 馃槶 Leaves me no time to make my millions or pursue other important things in life. Sigh.

Use Hello fresh and choose quick meals from menu. Saves so much time and energy.

Yeah, dying from cancer sure does save a lot of time and energy

NYT cooking is pretty consistently on it with good recipes. You also have Kitchn and Food52. That takes the thought out of it. Figure out certain groceries you want to focus on for the week, stick to in season ingredients, and base the recipes you choose off that. Prepare in batches (meal prep). Now you have yummy, healthy food for the week.

I don鈥檛 like microwaving :/ Good points tho. I mostly do all that, except meal prep

Reheat on the stove then. Don't make excuses when the solution is a lot more simple than you think. Plus stove/oven reheat tastes better, anyway. If not that, then air fryer.

if you have enough money, order from door dash/uber/restaurants. That's your private chef.

1. By the time it comes home it鈥檚 cold and soggy 2. Restaurant food doesn鈥檛 guarantee hygiene or cooking with top quality ingredients 3. Hassle everyday to order and deal with food deliveries

Restaurant food is unhealthy af

After cooking for a while you learn how to do things more efficiently. You might also find that you enjoy it.

You can get cooks on taskrabbit and sulekha.com (if indian)

Gobble is just as good as hello fresh but takes about half the time... not perfect, but then nothing short of a private chef would be it sounds like.

Why can鈥檛 you use Uber eats and use their deals?

Stripe sharktar Mar 23, 2023

Use techniques. We keep week night dinners quite simple. Get some sauces from grocery store. Bake chicken etc, in it. Bake or saut茅 vegetables. Can be done in 30 min. Still takes time for cleanup, loading dishwasher, but you can get efficient. We get takeout 2 nights of the weeknights .

Snap Cloooney OP Mar 23, 2023

I do the same, takeouts twice a week. I make quick pan sauces and steam veggies most times while I cook my meats. I鈥檓 mostly efficient, still takes a couple of hours for cooking and cleaning. I have some culinary background, cooking isn鈥檛 a problem. The effort and time is.

If you have a culinary background you should be able to whip up good food in less than 30 minutes and/or choose one or two meals so your cleanup time is minimal. Granted I know a lot of people here live in SF/NYC so I imagine it鈥檚 much harder to be efficient without a lot of counter space.

Meal prep. Order food. Hello fresh etc. Plenty of options. Stop complaining.
