Hi all, I’m currently a high school student in the UK and have applied to a degree apprenticeship with PwC where they will pay for my bachelor’s in computer science, give me a salary whilst I study and guarantee an internship every summer. Sounds amazing, but my concern is once I graduate the compensation is relatively low. And so does working at PwC hold enough prestige for me to have a good shot at working at a big tech/high finance after a few YOE? PS: The degree apprenticeship is with the University of Birmingham (a decent university), whilst my alternative would be attending UCL where many of its graduates go on to work in high finance and big tech. #tech #pwc #softwareengineer
Can you afford to go to school yourself? If you do it through pwc how many years are you committed to working for them?
My parents can support me a bit but I would have around $60k in debt by the time I graduate. For PwC I can leave at any time, even the second I graduate.
