How can we implement SSL termination in a Spring Boot application? Once a https request comes to application we want to terminate SSL and handle dependent API calls internally in private network so we do not need https
Wrong forum.
Basically you need to look at what level you want to terminate ssl , once its past loadbalencer or at web server or at app server level . If you want to terminate at load balencer level basically you establish http connectivity betweeb lb and app/web server
Just use k8s
How TF is IBM employing people who don't understand load balancers or Tomcat, or even just nginx FFS.
This. I feel sad for IBM.
Asking a question does not mean you don't have the knowledge.. it can be to understand better solutions or opinions in the current market... wonder how apple hired such a fool who does nt have this common sense..
Use azure application gateway. Lol
SSL doesn’t force you to communicate downstream in ssl. You could even go as far to enforce ssl on load balancer level only but it’s a bad idea. It only takes one big breach to learn a bitter lesson. , why not just keep it ssl, it’s not that hard , especially in spring boot apps, it’s like 10 lines of code
The term you looking for is ssl offloading, load balancers do that operation.
No need to do SSL offloading in 2018... unless you handle crazy connection rates, but with AES-NI, SSL session caches, etc you barely need it. If you have an LB, you should keep downstream sessions encrypted too, keepalive works in his millennium.
Does this look like StackOverflow to you, motherfucker? TC or GTFO.
