1 year experience UX Designer in #FAANG

Hi Blind community, Immediately after graduation 2019, I landed my first ever real job as a L4 UX designer (no prior internship experience) at Amazon, it was and still is a dream come true. This one year my biggest learnings have primarily been around just how to do a job as a professional, how a company works, what is office politics, what is sprints and how to basically unlearn everything learned in college and design in the real world. I want to learn from the more seasoned folks here how do I rise above the newbie, fresher phase and actually earn the respect of my peers (in terms of work) and become a good designer? How does a new graduate, first job at such a huge company turn from a newbie to a designer who operates at an influential level with the important stakeholders, makes design decisions that influences the product in the earliest stages rather than just fine tuning end designs? How did you all the seasoned designers at FAANG and other great companies get to the level you are at today ?? What was your starting journey like?? Thanks!! #tech #design #ux #faang
