Hi Blind, I need some advice. I currently have about $100k in my HYSA, $150k in investments (stocks, 401k, crypto) and an additional $240k in GSU. My goal was to buy a house but I had to move to LA for my job and I canโt afford homes in commutable distance to my office. I donโt have any tangible appreciating assets and Iโm feeling stuck having all that money sitting in a SA. Any advice on investment would be appreciated. I spoke to a financial advisor but he wasnโt that helpful. I currently canโt leave California due to work but I feel like Iโm making bad financial decisions. If you must invest in real estate, buy a REIT. Why do you feel compelled to own a property if you are not financially ready?
Buy Farm instead and lease it
Unless you have specific plans for using the 100k in the HYSA, definitely is way too much to be sitting in cash IMO. Keep like 6 month living expenses in it, move the rest to your brokerage, and start occasionally adding to your stock investments
