I've got an upcoming Amazon L6 interview, scheduled in the next few weeks. Cleared the Online Assessment (OA) and Phone Screen, and now it's time for the loop - they mentioned four rounds, including the Hiring Manager (HM) and Bar Raiser (BR) interviews. An area where a heads up would really help! How best should I go about answering LP questions. I want to sound as confident as possible? Literally any thing would help.
As an interviewer: I grade based on are all stories in the STAR format. I also want to know what you actually did so make sure the stories are about what you did.
Same for me. Say what you did, not what "we" did.
Hello, I know it's not right place. But, would it be possible to refer me? I'm lookng for Amazon referrals for Sr. Manager.
Make a spreadsheet or word doc with 2-3 examples from your background that reflect each Amazon leadership principle. Have clear and concise data in terms of what the result was. Answer in STAR format and make sure not to jump too quickly into the result part. Build the story and paint the picture is to the who and the why. Also, try to mix up examples from different companies or roles as they will note if you repeat stories across interviews. One repeat isn’t a big deal but multiple will be a negative mark in most cases. Amazon places a high premium on their leadership principles so you want to spend a lot of time covering those. Getting a coach to help you with your interviewing skills may be a good idea. You should also find time for Product Alliance’s flagship courses. Cover those and I think you’re set.
Op can you share which team?
I have first rounds. Are you willing to prep together?
