I’ll be honest with you, it’s great. I’ve dealt with threat intelligence, red team, blue team, application and network security and I can tell you this, it’s not easy but it’s very rewarding. You do have to be on top of the latest exploits, CVEs, zero days but you get use to it. Every day you’re learning and implementing it to your job and life. I may be biased but it’s fun. There are some BS moments however like a random exploit gets discovered around the holidays that shakes an entire industry for a month (log4j) and you gotta work overtime and create a POC and patches and scan the internet and spend hours on shodan. But seriously tl;dr it’s super fun. If you need help with guidance or finding your place in cyber security, feel free to message me on here or linkedin. Love teaching this stuff to people.
