"Stay Frugal" is our mantra, reminding us to be resourceful and thrifty. On the other hand, there's the wild world of tipping, where everyone seems to have a jar out. Our boss, Bezos didn't tip employees so why are we tipping everyone who hands us a coffee? Maybe it's time to rethink this. let's save our extra coins for something truly special, like a next-day Prime delivery of... well, anything Btw, how much money do u spend tipping weekly? Mine was 500 per week Tc480k
Your RSUs are your tip. It only gets paid after work is competed and can be reduced in future grants if you’re deemed to not be worth the tip.
I always hit skip on those tablets if I wasn’t being served. Only servers, bartenders, and barbers get a tip from me. I have zero issue skipping tips for when I am picking up coffee or something similar.
Here’s a tip. STFU.
Tipping is one of the worst things in the world
You have the option to not tip. It’s called not ordering delivery
People tip for delivery!?
This thread is borderline insane - if you make anything north of $150k (which I am sure a vast majority of us on Blind are) tipping your barista or deliver person properly shouldn’t be a concern. Rule of thumb, full service restaurant 20%, delivery person $3-5, barista $1 -2 and bar tender ($1 per mix drink)
Wasn't the rule of thumb for dine-in "double the tax"? And then 15% and then 18%? Now it is 20%?
💯
500 a week is bonkers, op.
Tipping in US has lost its way. I checed in my kid in an indoor playground on a rainy afternoon, the cash register had a tipping option. For what? Ringing my bill?
I agree with that point… tipping at the airport kiosks in the mini-marts is mindless 😕 I think that is just the default for the POS
Tipping your barista - not required. Not tipping your server at a sit down restaurant - cheap and disrespectful.
Nothing is required… let split the difference, we got out for a coffee - you pay for it and I will handle tipping the barista 😏
It's the weekend I make top-tier TC but I am too cheap to tip post.
There wasn’t a no tip?
its okay to tip for haircut, massage and dine-in.. i ignore it in rest of places..
