Thinking of switching to Nasa if possible after G layoffs. What's the salary range for senior security SWE/security engineer in NASA? How interesting is the job?
Reliable source? Or just hearing it from here and there?
Regular fed salaries top out at 175-180 but I assumed nasa can go higher
If you are interested in cyber security in us gov, NIST may be a good place. They do serious security work.
+1
Do they require to be citizen/ gc ?
This is public information. Go look it up.
That would be amazing! We need more tech giants SWEs building up NASA and our government funded science. I wish the pay would be there. It’s what our country needs more of
Thats a terrible idea. NASA engineers are evaluated based on capability not some pseudo nonsense such as leetcode. So NASA actually get capable hands not leetcode monkeys
Good one Toptal. The smartest brains in the country are tied up on stupid Google projects. We could use them on bigger and more interesting problems. The best aren’t leetcode monkeys, open your mind
