Apple ICT3 Cellular Engineer
Hi, I received an offer from apple last week same the one that got rescinded in 2023. The location was Cupertino last time they offered but this time they are offering me for San Diego. The recruiter mentioned Current Offer (San Diego) Base :160k Stock : 148500K over 4 years Sign on :15K Refresher from 2nd Year: 13526K Bonus :7.5 % for 1st Year Relocation provided. Last Year Offer (Cupertino) Base :165 Stock : 165 Sign on was not mentioned I have not mentioned Yes/No, since they are in the approval process with the offer. But the recruiter gave me the verbal offer. I really don’t want to move out of Bay Area. But the job market for cellular domain is not that great right now. In this situation do you think I should accept the offer ? Current TC : 166K YOE : 5-6 years

As of now no. The market is bad for my cellular domain.
Was it the exact team and exact recruiter? I’m curious because Apple recruiters don’t have the best reputation.
Yes it is the exact team. Only this time the recruiter was different. To be honest I realized your offer to go smoothly depends on how supportive your recruiter is. The recruiter I had last time did not make me understand the whole terms. I guess some things are not meant to be. But due to this miscommunication I will have to relocate.

Apple gave me the offer letter but Samsung matched the exact amount by giving me a counter offer in San Jose. So I chose Samsung because of better position, same compensation and not needed to relocate to San Diego. While Apple was agreeing to San Diego not Bay Area. Recruiter mentioned he could have leveled me up or given a higher offer when I declined it. But as I thought it would leave a bad impression about asking how much he could offer more after declining I did not ask further and politely said goodbye. I hope this was the right decision. TC: 220K (Both Apple and Samsung)
