How is the work life balance at Snowflake? Especially compared to FAANG companies. Any risks of long hours? Thanks.
Pretty bad from what I hear
Not too bad but not easy. It's definitely not a rest and vest company, but management tries to promote reasonable WLB. I work a full 40 hour week.
Does Snowflake hire cleared SWEs?
Is there anything special about Cleared SWEs? Are you looking for specific positions in this case? Just asking out of curiosity
Just that they have a clearance. That means citizen, no drugs, clean lifestyle etc etc. Cleared positions are typically harder to hire for since it requires the clearance, so there is often a bonus attached to it.
50+ hours/week
Any work on weekends? Is it common across the company?
Hey @postipo2, would I be able to ask you for a referral. I am applying for sales engineering role, and I really would like to get it. I’m a software engineer at the moment, but I just don’t enjoy what I’m doing anymore. I just need to get my foot in the door, and any help would be really appreciated.
I’m normally about 35-40 hr/week in my org (not product facing)

Not for everyone. Type faster is a thing no joke
Looking for snowflake referral
My team is 50-60 hr/week mostly
What team is that if you don't mind me asking? Do you know if it's a thing (cultural) across the company to put more hours in?
How's performance evaluation compared to PSC?
