Just curious since I have heard it pays well. Whats the WLB like, whats sort of day to day for a SA? Is it like consulting where you’re on a project then you get to try something else? Just curious! #Aws
I recently started but I’m the lead sales rep for my territory. It’s my understanding the SA functions similar to a sales engineer in other companies. While the lead rep is at least CPC, and on my team ASA, certified you’d be on my appointments as necessary to provide deeper technical consultation. You’d also work with the customer on implementation. Again, I’m new, but as someone who will work closely with the SA if you have questions feel free to DM.
WLB is based on team and Sector you work with , some teams like ML / Servless /Containers etc have ton of work Day to day work includes Customer presentation , you would be pulled by Account managers/Tam to work with some customer issue/problem etc Other things to manage are new feature test / work with beta customers / and did I already say lot of PPT (although the content can be quite technical ) WLB is better than SDE for sure , but the role is what you make of it , some SA's also have bad wlb due to type of customers you work with
