Just wanted to shout out Groq. Fantastic interview process throughout (much different than rest of FAANG, not easy though), truly good people, you can even tell the culture is absolutely fantastic from the people you talk to. Each and every individual I’ve spoken to was phenomenal. One of the first companies who when they say “culture matters”, you will truly believe them. Amazing comp (FAANG level), hybrid work schedules, sounds like a great environment to grow. I decided to take another offer due to personal reasons (although it was one of the most absolute difficult decisions I’ve had to make in my early career so far). This might bite me back later but I’ve got to stick with my gut. FWIW, I personally think they’ll most definitely go to the moon, and they will be NVIDIA’s next big competitor or possibly even beat them. Just wanted to let people know about Groq, if you haven’t already. There are a lot of posts on Blind talking about negative interview experiences / cultures in companies, but I wanted to share something positive. Truly seems like a fantastic place to work. Kudos to the CEO and everyone who has bought into the vision and general culture of the company.
TC or GTFO. Also I’m pretty sure Groq comp is not FAANG level last time I interviewed with them.
SWEs -- if you are a fan of functional languages, this might be a great match for you. If not, then be aware of what you're getting into.
I'm at Groq and I actually use a lot of imperative languages all the time - Python / C++ is the foundation of one of our key products.
Thanks for the glowing review. But you picked Msft over us? 🙃
It was a really really hard decision 😭😭😭😭. Had to go with my gut and take a leap of faith. It might be wrong it might be right. But we’ll see. Hopefully we’ll cross paths again in the future :)
Had a similar amazing interview experience! Really seemed like a great place to work. However, the comp was not quite there in terms of equity and since their tech is not fully proved it seemed a bit risky for me. Would love to see more published peer-reviewed performance results.
Ok
