I dont have a bachelors degree but have 17yrs of tech experience and have been an above average to high performer all these years. Always felt that i lack a degree but dont have the drive to do a bachelors. I want to however try something like an exec MBA if i qualify for that. Not sure if there are many universities in the US who will accept candidates without a bachelors degree. I have read that universities in the UK do. Any pointers? TC 236
In the US , in most cases, you’ll need a bachelors degree to attend grad school. However, an MBA is about as useful as a blow dryer in a dust storm. Grab you a cheap, regionally accredited degree from US’s Western Governor’s University for under $18K, then apply to any US graduate program. Just keep in mind how an MBA will cost compared to the ROI
This. At 17 YOE, the only thing that make you want to do a MBA is your company caps your growth unless you have a MBA degree. Otherwise, ROI is not worth it
Company doesnt cap growth in the US but i am trying for a position internationally where educational qualifications might dictate how much i get paid.
Why don’t you come up with a list of universities that you’d like to attend and speak to their admissions department instead. Heck, cold call them and ask… if they find your story interesting, you will be one step closer to your MBA from your dream school… if not, you’ll lose nothing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
It’s uncommon but not impossible, university of Chicago will take candidates without an undergrad degree if they have good GMAT scores and work experience. Might better to see if you can get a bachelors in a year or two from an accredited school that offers credit for work experience, like WGU.
