Houston?
Yes
1. Offer looks good from your perspective at least, it's a pretty big pay raise 2. Didn't know they did RSUs at all, interesting 3. Work culture is chill, good engineers to learn from and work with 4. Managers are 'good' but super objective focused in my experience 5. Leading from #4, the lack of support, clarity and the promotion process being political and arbitrary really affects mobility. Especially relatively early in your career 6. Hybrid was 1 or 2 days in the office but you don't need to go in depending on your team and/or manager. Company wide policy is hybrid though 7. Industry is in a good place for now but O&G is volatile and always has a layoff cycle every now and then I left because work wasn't really up my alley, they historically silo a lot of information leading to very tedious knowledge gathering and learning processes. Was also being asked to maintain too much legacy code for my liking and my excellent ratings were never converted into raises, promotions or extra perks (asked for fully remote, with the option to come in when I need to). Ton of people left around the time I did and this also made me feel like they'd rather watch people go than make concessions to keep them. My advise would be to take the offer, enjoy your time there but keep an eye out if you feel motivated to grow more and grow faster. You can rest and vest or take on more responsibility for personal growth. Do not expect to be rewarded in the least for going above and beyond though.
When did you left Mind to share your experience and comp and which team you were there.
I was one of 2 engineers on my team so don't wanna share that, sorry. I left in Q1, took a break for a while. My total comp was 115k with bonus.
What’s your grade at Deloitte? Do Manager if you haven’t yet and exit then.
