Hi all, I am in a lucky situation, as per title. Looking for some Googlers who understand the interview process and recruiter culture to help me out here... So for 2 google recruiters are interested in interviewing me for 2 roles. I am more interested in 1 of the 2 roles. I have expressed interested in both equally because I intend to quit my job soon (toxic environment). Now the recruiters are going to sync with each other. Is this very risky because this would mean they have a 50% chance of getting me as a candidate (granted they have 2-3 other candidates in the pipeline for their role) and the recruiter would focus on other candidates? Should I just commit to one role and express a preference for that role? I can't stop the recruiters from talking to one another.
Yeah probably. If the role you like = role you already have experience for, that should make the decision from the recruiters easier. Not a recruiter tho so not sure how that works irl
Id rather do a role i dont like than do my current role because i dont like my current role that much
Leaving apple for google ?
How do the recruiters know that there are two parties interested? I wouldn't tell them. Dodge the question even if they ask directly, don't say no. I mean ask them if they are also interviewing other candidates from Apple.....? They may, not your business. How do they feel if You want to sNc up with other apple applicants.
Google’s recruiting system is all connected. All a recruiter just needs to do is type in your email or name to look up how far you are in the recruitment phase
Don't quit your job until you have another one. You may think Apple on your resume is a guarantee of finding work. In this economy, it's not
What are the types of roles / how different are they?
They are different pgm roles in very different orgs
bumping - anyone have any clues on how to navigate this situation?
Just make sure you’re not jumping into another toxic team, it’s ok to tell both recruiters your preference, just frame it like “I’d be a better asset doing this”

Hi op, unrelated q, how do you plan to answer why you left your job in the interview?
At some point working 8:30am to 9pm mon to including sundays isnt sustainable Thats the truth and i will say it Anyone else got a better idea
my two cents: focus on what you want out of the next role. this keeps the answer more positive than negative. example: “looking for an environment with more xyz, which i know google excels at”
