Hey fam, I recently accepted another offer and just gave my 2 week notice at teradata (h1b transfer about to start next week). I was honestly just glad to quit. But this is now making me nervous if any issues arise with h1b transfer. I have my i140 approved and 200+ days have passed. #workvisa #h1b TC:250k
Why take this additional risk? Always give it after getting the new H1B approved. Too many horror stories with 2 week notice before the approval.
I guess it was a spur of the moment thing when someone literally shouted at me for something I never had anything to do with.
Shouted at you for being a kid? Do you throw tantrums? What is that person age and race that he shouted?
are you not seeing posts here where offers are getting rescinded 😠
😞
Yep. In current market It is safer to give a notice 2 weeks after you started a new job rather than 2 weeks before.
Why..and why not ask before u gave notice....😅 transfer takes time too
When on h1b, control your emotions!!!
Where is the offer from ?
It's a startup they just raised a 70mil series B this year. I'm optimistic that they'll honor their offer
Too naive like I was.
Wait until transfer is approved. Wait until background check is finished. Then give a notice. If it is less then 2 week notice - that is fine, there is no law about it, your current employeer is the only one who benefits from 2 week notice. Always play safe, expecially when on H1B.

Just give one day notice. Why not do it?
