2023 graduates 6M intern at Amazon situation

I was an 6 months sde intern at Amazon 2023. Its tough to digest that Amazon didnt give return offers to 6M 2023 batch interns. They said in a mail that they may or may not reach out to us based on the headcount availablity within 12 months. Will Amazon start hiring anytime soon?
