How to get a high salary tech job without a degree

What certifications do you recommend taking for getting a job at Google, Meta, Microsoft, Apple, etc.? I’ve been looking on Coursera and EdX.

Get a basic bachelors degree, I think while it’s not needed on paper, it’s always best to have one.

It's less about certificates and more about experience. A certificate becomes a bullet point on the resume at best, and at worst it's ignored. You won't get into Google/Meta easily without solid experience.

Do one of those bootcamps that you don't have to pay for until you get hired. I've now know college dropouts making 200k+ now after 3-5 years of exp

These are usually a scam. Some require payment after you get any job, regardless of field. So if you go to the boot camp and can't find a tech job after, you still owe the money even if you land a job at Albertsons.

Some are scams, some are legit. Do your own research

Google Cloud Associate Cloud Engineer exam. Then get a GCP focused job

I'd highly recommend a local community college. Do a 2 year associates in computer science for the foundational knowledge. Almost guaranteed to come out with a basic understanding of object oriented programming. It's the most cost effective route. Then if you decide you want a bachelor's, you're half of the way there.

As many and as varied as possible. I know a person with no college but a bunch of experience and mid-tier Cisco and cloud certs pulling in over 200+ in the Midwest. Bit of a unicorn, actually.

Bootcamp! But only one of the “good” ones (hack reactor, app academy, etc). If they have an option to pay up front, that’s what you should do. I did a bootcamp. First job right after graduating was 82k. Second job with 1YOE was 270k. Third job with 3YOE was 400k.
