No one is safe dude
Bloomberg is a private company .. so ideally it would be safer compared to public company. Also Bloomberg never laid off in past.
Just look at how many engineers bbg laid off in 2001 and 2009. Let me know if you find any
Actually I did find it, but the number is small https://www.businessinsider.com/bloomberg-news-started-layoffs-up-to-100-affected-2021-2
Safer than 90% of places I would say but there’s always a chance
Job safety is a myth.
Historically they have been very resistant to layoffs/firing. The Terminal still prints money and there are no investors to push for higher profits.
We are hiring 1000 more, so chill
Hire me as well
is that 1000 all in engineering though?
Hiring freeze/slowdown but no layoffs.
only slowdown, not freeze
Freeze for new grads
If Bloomberg starts to layoff then it mostly means the world has bigger problems. Not saying it’ll not happen but we’re far from it today!
Ya lol. Faang running at 60 percent staff
Ya I hope Bloomberg doesnot layoff this year atleast
