Optum is offering my wife 90-95K with 7.5 percent bonus for Level 27 Campaign Strategist role. Is it a good offer? Its a remote role. She is already making 120K in a remote role but in a contract role with a consulting firm. How is the WLB? Do they actual pay bonus? Any signing bonuses they offer ? Please guide.
It’s a squeaky wheel with optum, not much of a growth. Forget about signing bonus, they don’t give much pay bonus. I would stay away. If you have this role already.
I recently got an offer for a GL27 at 87k and same potential 7.5% bonus but there's a lot that goes into that calculation during the common review. The bonus could vary depending on performance. WLB can be good but I'd pass if she has a higher offer or is in a better position already.
You never get the full bonus from what I heard, but wlb is there. Very chill for the most part.
Yes!! In April, I was offered 93K in a level 27 marketing role at Optum. They said that was the very top of the 27 range and I just got a $3700 bonus and a 2% merit raise in my annual review Tell her it’s an amazing company and the work life balance is incredible. I love my job there and they take care of their employees.
Thanks for the helpful response. Do they give promotions as well in a year or its out of scope for 2-3 years? She is willing to go for WLB and Paid FMLA leaves but just confused on 20K downgrade on TC. But your suggestions should be helpful for her to decide 👍🏼 Appreciate it
Yes! They advocate for internal promotions and salary increases. If she likes the team and manager it’ll be easy for her to have those conversations. My manager is already fast tracking my promotion and is super transparent about timing, salary increase, etc.
If you’re in right time WLB is best at OPTUM, if you visa independent you can for 105 to 110 with current market rate
Yes she is visa dependent. Small question : since its a remote hire, Do they allow to carry the work laptop with you when traveling out of country? And may be work for 1 month from there if possible? Do you have any such information or experience? Thanks
Yes but you don’t have to tell or any State or federal project
