I make more money than I ever dreamed of, so why am I not happy?
Name a department. They were affected.
I used to work in the finance org as part of their Salesforce/analytics team
Ha. That org does not even exist anymore. Cutting to the bone.
eNGineErinG?
Yep.
Sales. Engineering. Marketing.
"In December 2019, Instructure announced that Thoma Bravo would acquire the company for $2 billion." PE cutting to the bone I'm sure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Instructure
How is Salt Lake City to live and to work?
Good luck to all affected. That company was a bright spot in the valley. Private equity will suck it bone dry and dump it in few years. I have gone through similar experience in the past. No long term investment, milk existing product lines with minimum staff manning the ship.
I got my start with Instructure back in 2016. The culture, perks, etc.... were top notch. I was so proud to work there, so it is super sad to see where it's at now. Completely different company whose culture was ruined by the transition to public. I still have a number of friends working there and the morale is rock bottom...
Instructure, the company that makes Canvas?
Yep, that company
Holy cow, which departments? How many?
