#software #swe #automation offer details Tucson : nvent company. $115k yearly. Firmware engineer Raleigh: Lenovo. $135k automation in power shell Lebanon, NH: Fujifilm. $135k c++ developer
This decision is purely based on work and location? NC is better location but automation sounds boring to me. I personally would not choose windows.
I have to consider location and work wise which’s good for career in long term
Can I ask Lenovo hr for a system side developer role telling I have a firmware engineer offer from different company ?
Please post offer details. Also seconding that the firmware position sounds more interesting.

Thank you!
Linux position will open more doors in the future. Con, its Arizona
Yes I too see a big con there
I currently live in Tucson now. Coming from a big urban city it’s beyond boring. Especially in the nice parts to live, literally anywhere I go it feels like everyone is over 50.
It’s mainly going to be a bunch of desert and cactuses. If you’ve watched the show breaking bad, then that’s kind of what a lot of Tucson is like. If you’re really big on outdoorsy stuff, Tucson is your place though. Cycling, hiking, mountain climbing, and snowboarding (it snows in the mountains during winter), are pretty accessible here.

If you don't share the offer details how can we help you? That said Linux firmware in Tuscon (presumably semiconductor related) sounds cooler than anything with windows
