Sundar's comeback makes him GOAT?
I’m interviewing for a role with CyberArk but base salary is a little below my target range. Recruiter said equity will likely help get me to my goal but hasn’t given specific numbers. Can anyone at CA share what typical RSU grants look like for Director level? Do ya’ll get yearly refreshers? Are they substantial? TYIA
Hey, congrats on the interview. Good luck finding anyone here who will know what directors make. Most product and IT upper management work in Israel. They are tight lipped. The consensus is that no matter the position, you’ll work for under market pay. The equity isn’t guaranteed each year and it’s nothing great at all. Last year no one got much of anything because of the economy (refreshers, etc). Next week we all find out what our rewards look like. Everyone has low expectations from what I hear despite us killing expectations. Tl:dr - cyberark is known for being cheap. They’ll work you hard without paying you market rate. And you should only work here if you are ok with that or if you are looking to buff your resume.
Thanks so much; I appreciate the transparency and time to write a response. This confirms what I suspected. It sounds like it might not be the right move for me rn while I’m trying to maximize compensation and pay off loans.
For sure, np By all means get through the process and try to negotiate. It might work, but don’t expect it to get you to generous levels. After all, there are far easier companies to work for that probably pay the same or better. I’m only here until the economy improves. I’ll likely finish a couple more projects and then leave unless they have a change of heart. I will probably see a 30-40% pay increase when that happens judging by the few offers I’ve already seen.
